Hey readers! We’ve just got back from a fantastic visit to Krakow, we had a really great time!
Our trip kicked off with a bit of a train nightmare en route to Luton, but we made up for it with a smooth flight to Poland. Krakow greeted us with non-stop rain (not much different from home!). Our walking tour guide adapted like a pro, and included a stop at a snug café for some hot chocolate, delicious!
Day two had us in awe of Krakow’s train system, the UK always comes up sub-par against European public transport! We explored the salt mines before switching things up with lunch at a quirky robot-waitered ramen restaurant. Charis had reservations at first, but once those noodle bowls arrived, all doubts vanished. We then headed over to Schindler’s factory for a more sobering experience.
For day three we went on a group day trip to Zakopane and the Termy Bukovina geothermal pools. It was a slower pace than what we’re used to, but the Tatra Mountain views were stunning.
Our last day saw us opting for a more leisurely morning, rather than squeezing in an extra activity. We had a minor wallet panic that had us doing a quick U-turn. But overall, the journey back home was smooth sailing.
